- Account & Profile Data: name, email address, login credentials, contact details, and subscription information.
- Order & Payment Data: shipping/billing address, payment details, purchase history, and transaction records.
- Usage Data: actions taken in the Dashboard (e.g., link edits, TapPage creation, analytics views), device type, browser information, IP address, user agent, location data, and activity logs.
- TapPages & Links: information you choose to publish on a TapPage, scheduled links, redirects you create, and customization preferences.
- Guest Check-In Data: When visitors check in on TapPages, we collect their name, email address, check-in timestamps, IP address, device information, and location data for attendance tracking and streak calculations. This data is not linked to user accounts but is stored for analytics purposes.
- Technical Data: We automatically collect IP addresses, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, and other technical information when you use our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Process and fulfill orders
- Provide access to the Dashboard, TapPages, and other ChurchTap tools
- Enable link scheduling, analytics tracking, and account features
- Track guest check-ins and calculate attendance streaks
- Communicate with you about your orders, account, or product updates
- Improve and develop our products and services
- Send occasional updates, promotions, or educational resources (only with your permission)
- Provide customer support through our chat system
- Ensure security and prevent fraud
Legal Basis: We process your data based on contract performance, legitimate business interests, legal compliance, and your consent where required.
Never for advertising purposes. We do not use your personal data to serve ads or sell your data to advertisers.
3. Guest Check-Ins and Analytics
When visitors check in on TapPages:
- We collect their name, email, and technical information (IP address, device type)
- This data is used to track attendance, calculate check-in streaks, and provide analytics
- Guest data is not used to create user accounts but may be retained for analytics purposes
- Check-in data is associated with the specific TapPage and may be visible to the TapPage owner
4. NFC Tag Security
All ChurchTap NFC tags are permanently locked at the time of production. This ensures the link you program is securely embedded and cannot be altered or hijacked after delivery.
5. Data Protection
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your information:
- All data transmission is encrypted using SSL/TLS
- Payment details are processed securely by third-party providers (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers
- Access to personal data within ChurchTap is restricted to authorized staff only
- We implement regular security audits and monitoring
- In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by law

We use trusted third-party services to operate our business:

- Stripe: Payment processing

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their services. We never sell or rent your personal data. We do not use your personal data for advertising. Where required, third parties may process data under their own privacy policies.

- Guest Check-In Data: Retained for 3 years for analytics and streak tracking
